So for whoever cares. The server setup is pretty straight forward. It's a FreeBSD 5.2.1 box running Apache 2.0-current, Postfix, Cyrus {Imap, Sasl}, OpenSSH, PHP 4.3-current, squirrel mail. Postfix uses amavisd so that we can also run Spamassasin for spam tagging and Clamav to ban virus-ridden emails. If all mail servers at least tagged virus-ridden emails we could probably greatly reduce the rate at which viruses spread across the world.

Just about everything runs over SSL or SSH. So no passwords go across in the clear.

I build everything from the ports and keep it all up to date using cvsup and portupgrade (and make world when necessary).

I get help from bsdforums.org

The calendar for upcoming events is calendarix (duh). The stuff on the front page (/index.php) gets pulled from the calendarix database. For the source to this just email me. If someone shows interest in seeing it I'll take out the mysql password and set it up for download by the public.

That's all for now. Happy server admining
