The Takeover crew desperately tried to find a big place for the entire group. However, stuff in Tahoe gets booked up early, and accomodations for large groups must be made more than a year in advance. So this year will be no different than the past few takeovers, everyone is on their own for finding lodging. We do recognize, however, that most of the people coming have never been to the South Lake Tahoe area (and boy are you in for a treat) so we've compiled this list of cheap hotels and campgrounds for you. Hotel rooms should be reserved now! Campground spots should be reserved as soon as possible, although they generally do not take individual reservations more than six months in advance. There are also several hotel casinos and luxury rental cabins available if that is more your style.

If you choose to find lodging on your own you will want to try to stay within the city limits of South Lake Tahoe. The home rental business is big in South Lake Tahoe so if you wanted you shouldn't have trouble finding a home to rent for the few days surrounding the takeover.
